National Committee for POWS and Missing (NCPM)

Since the establishment of the National Committee for Prisoners of War and Missing Persons in 1992, the Sabah Al-Salem Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah Foundation has played a supporting role in national efforts to address the issue of prisoners of war and missing persons, determine their fate, and provide assistance to their families in coordination with the relevant authorities.

As part of this commitment, the Foundation’s premises were designated as the headquarters of the National Committee, following an initiative by Sheikh Salem Sabah Al-Salem Al-Sabah, then Chairman of the Committee. This provided the Committee with the facilities necessary to carry out its responsibilities and coordinate efforts relating to prisoners of war, missing persons, and their families.

The Foundation has maintained its association with the Committee and continued to support its humanitarian and national objectives, reflecting its broader commitment to initiatives of national significance, social responsibility, and community welfare.
